Programs to bypass the Windows password
If you are using an offline Windows account on your PC and do not remember the password to access it, you can try to solve the problem using one of the programs listed below: these are software that, once run from a USB key or from CD / DVD, allow you to unlock Windows accounts and access them without typing any password. They do not always ensure 100% success, but in many situations they manage to achieve their goal: try them and find out if they are right for you.
KON BOAT
KON-BOOT is one of the most advanced solutions to bypass the Windows password, in fact it is not agolable for free and to download it you need to shell out figures starting from 27 $ (for home license). Ensures unlocking of offline accounts on all versions of Windows and online accounts on Windows 8.x. On Windows 10, however, the unlocking of online accounts is supported only in an experimental way e, moreover, only in the commercial version of the software (which costs more). Another important thing to point out is that files encrypted with BitLocker are not decrypted, which therefore remain inaccessible.
To purchase, and then download, the most recent version of KON-BOOT, connect to the official website of the program and first click on the item KON-BOOT WIN present at the top and then on the button BUY NOW placed in the center of the page. Before starting the software download, disable the antivirus or it will prevent you from downloading it (e later using it).
When the download is complete, connect the USB pendrive on which you intend to copy KON-BOOT (the key must not be very large, but it must be formatted, so it must not contain important files), open the archive that contains the program and extract the contents in a folder of your choice, then launch the executable KonBootInstaller.exe and rispondi Yes and OK warnings that appear on the screen.
In the window that opens, use the drop-down menu Agolable USB drives to select the drive of the USB stick, click on the button Install to USB stick (with UEFI support), then on Yes e wait a few seconds for KON-BOOT to be copied to the pen drive.
If the utility integrated in KON-BOOT does not allow you to copy the program files on the USB stick due to some error, try using YUMI: a free and portable software (therefore that does not require installations to be used) that allows to create self-starting USB sticks with one or more operating systems inside them.
To copy KON-BOOT to your pen drive with YUMI, launch the program in question and click the button Next. Then use the drop-down menu Step 1 to select the drive of the USB stick, the drop-down menu Step 2 to select the option Kon-Boot Purchased e the button KATEGORIEN to select the KON-BOOT ISO image. To select the ISO image, you need to navigate to the folder kon-bootCD, type the name kon-bootCD.iso in the field File name e select the file name from the automatic suggestions that appear as you type. At this point, click on the buttons Create e Yes, wait for the copying of the files to be completed and close the program window by clicking on the appropriate buttons.
Once you have your self-starting stick with KON-BOOT, you need to copy some files into it. Going into more detail, you need to copy the file konbootFLOPPY> konbootFLOPPY.img from the KON-BOOT download folder to the folder multiboot> kon-bootCD of the USB stick and the folder EFI located in the folder kon-bootUSB of KON-BOOT in the root directory of the pen drive.
Once this is done, you can boot from the key and wait for the KON-BOOT welcome screen to appear (a black screen with the inscription Kon-Boot for Windows up). Once the screen in question is displayed, press any key on the PC keyboard, wait for Windows to start and log in to the account whose credentials you forgot, leaving the password field blank. Et voila! You are now logged into your account again and can set a new password to access it.
If you are using a recent PC equipped with the UEFI system instead of the classic BIOS, to boot from the KON-BOOT key you must first access the UEFI settings and disable the function Secure Boot (the one that prevents booting from systems without digital signature). To access the UEFI configuration menu from Windows 10, click on the button Home e select l 'icona dell'ingranaggio located on the left in the menu that appears on the screen.
Then go up Update and security> Recovery and click on the button Restart now related to the options Avvio Avanzato. Next, select the items Troubleshooting, Advanced options and UEFI firmware settings and click the button Restart. Once in the UEFI menu, select the tab Security, then the voice Secure Boot menu e imposta l'opzione Secure boot su Disabled. Once this is done, set the USB drive as the primary boot drive by going to the tab Boot And that's it.
