With a few simple steps, you can stop Google from "snooping" and immediately show your old searches while you type a few letters in the search bar, regardless of the browser you use to browse the Internet. Let's start with the procedure for deactivating the history that Google automatically saves on its servers (therefore visible on any browser and device), then we will move on to the process of removing the local history from all the main navigation programs.

Disable Google Web History
From computer

If you want to limit Google history without turning it off entirely, you can remove the tick from the option Include Chrome and other app history in your Web & App Activity. This way online searches will continue to be stored but will not include activities performed in Chrome or other applications.
Da smartphone and tablet Android

Another important thing to know is that Google can also store the history of the geographic location of the smartphone. This function increases the usefulness of services such as Google Now (in which, for example, traffic information relating to a route you usually take can be shown), but it also represents an invasion of the user's privacy. If you want to disable this feature, go to the menu Google Settings> Personal Info and Privacy> Activity Management Android, select the item Google location history and move up OFF the lever located at the top right of the screen that opens.
Da iPhone/iPad
If you have installed the Google app on your iPhone or iPad, you can turn off the search history in a very simple way. All you have to do is press on tua photo located at the top left, select the items Privacy e Navigation from the screen that opens and move to OFF the lever relative to the history on device. This will disable the local storage of searches made on your iPhone / iPad. To delete the searches already stored on the device, press the button Clear history on device.
If you want to clear your online search history and not just the local one, go back to the menu Privacy> Navigation of the Google app and select the item Manage your Google search history. At this point, put the check mark next to the searches you want to delete from the online history and press the button Delete which appears at the top right to complete the operation.
To completely disable online history storage, go to the menu Privacy> Navigation of the Google app, then move to Manage your activity history and move the lever relative to the option to OFF Browsing and research activities.
Clear Google local history
Now let's see how to delete the search history locally, the one that browsers save on the memory of PCs, smartphones and tablets. Note that this setting has no effect on Google's online history: if you don't turn that off, the search engine will continue to "spy" on your activities.
Google Chrome
If you use Chrome, you can disable Google's suggestions by simply clicking on the button Menu (the icon with the three horizontal lines) located at the top right and selecting the item Settings give the menu to compare.

To perform the same operations in the Chrome for smartphones and tablets Android, press the pulsating Menu located at the top right (the icon with the three dots) and select the item Settings from the menu that appears. Then go to the section Privacy in the browser configuration panel and uncheck the option Search suggestions and URLs. Once this step is completed, go to Menu> History, pig on on bottone Clear browsing data, make sure there is a tick next to the items related to chronology e compilation data I awarded Clear data but I will complete the operation.
On iPhone and iPad, the procedure to follow is practically the same: you have to press the button Menu Chrome at the top right and select the item Settings from the menu that appears. After that you have to go up Privacy and you have to move on OFF the relative levetta all'opzione Show tips. To clear your existing search history, go to Clear browsing data, make sure there is a check mark next to the items Navigazione timeline e Autofill data and presses the button Clear browsing data but I will complete the operation.
Internet Explorer
Do you want delete Google searches even when they appear as suggestions in the Internet Explorer search bar? Nothing simpler. Start the Windows browser and access its settings by first clicking on the button in the shape of gear which is located at the top and then on the item Internet options menu that appears.
In the window that opens, go to the tab Content and click on the button Settings placed under the heading Automatic completion. Then remove the check mark from the item Address bar and click on the button OK twice in succession to save the settings. If you want to clear the history of previous searches, click on the button Delete History Autocomplete. To also clear the browsing history, go to the tab General of the Internet option and click on the button Delete which is located at the bottom right.
Microsoft Edge
In Windows 10, Internet Explorer has been joined (we can say almost replaced) by Microsoft Edge. If you use this browser and want to delete your search history, press the button (...) located at the top right and select the item Settings from the menu that opens. Then click on the button Choose the items to delete and proceed to delete the history: by clicking on the button Clear you can delete the list of websites visited while clicking on the item Clear your search history you can clear your Bing or Google search history, depending on which search engine is set as the default in your browser.

Mozilla Firefox

To clear the history, go back to the main menu with the Firefox settings and select the item Delete personal data from the latter.
Safari
