How to delete an Apple ID via password recovery
If it is your intention to permanently get rid of an Apple ID that you no longer intend to use but, unfortunately, do not remember the password, know that you can deal with the problem in at least three different ways: by exploiting two-factor authentication, by using the password. account recovery or by obtaining a recovery code via email (or answer to the security question). Below I'll explain everything in detail.
Two-factor authentication
If you have configured the Apple ID on a device of the Cupertino giant (iPhone, iPad o Mac, for example) and had previously enabled thetwo-factor authentication on the account, know that recovering the password to access the profile is really easy.
First, if you are using iPhone o iPad, tap on the icon in the shape of gear wheel, to access the Settings of iOS, then tap on yours name (the one associated with the Apple ID), go to the section Password and security and then tap the button change Password.
At this point, you just have to enter, when requested, the security code you use to unlock the phone / tablet during start-up and that's it: enter the new password to use in the fields new e check and press on the item Modification (above) to enable the new password.
I invented stai using a Mac, go to the System Preference by clicking on the d-shaped buttongear placed on the Dock bar, click the icon of iCloud and press the button Account Details (to the left).
Once on the next screen, click on the item Safety, by pressing the button change Password e, when prompted, enter the Mac password (the one you use to access / unlock it) in the appropriate text field. Finally, type, in the fields New password e Confirmation, the new password to use for the Apple ID and press the button Modification, to confirm everything.
If you wish, press the button Logout, to force quit all devices and sites that use the same Apple ID, or click on the item Do not go out, to conclude the procedure.
If you have enabled two-factor authentication by stating your phone number but the Apple ID you intend to recover is not paired with any device, you can easily reset your password using a disposable code received through SMS.
To be able to do this, connected to the iCloud site via the browser you usually use (both from smartphone / tablet and from PC), press the link Hai dimenticato l'ID Apple or the password? located at the bottom e, on the next screen, enter theemail address associated with the Apple ID of your interest and press the button Continue.
Next, it indicates the telephone number you specified when enabling two-factor authentication, press the button Continue e, if you do not have any device associated with the Apple ID in question, press the link Don't have access to any of your devices?, located at the bottom.
Once on the next screen, press the link Don't have access to another iOS device?, press the button Continue anyway e, when requested, select the phone number on which you want to receive the recovery code (to be chosen from those previously configured) and press the button Continue.
At this point, all you have to do is enter the code received via SMS in the appropriate boxes, click on the button Continue e, finally, conclude the procedure by indicating the new password in the appropriate fields.
Recovery key
La two-step verification, for your information, is the security measure prior to two-factor authentication, agolable for all those devices with an operating system prior to iOS 9 or macOS El Capitan (which, consequently, do not support the two-factor authentication function factors).
Therefore, if the Apple ID of your interest has been configured on a device of this type and you still have the recovery key provided by Apple during configuration (the 14-digit code used to recover the account in case of lost password), you can easily use it to reset the profile password.
How? I'll explain it to you right away. To begin with, connected to the official Apple website, select the item Hai dimenticato l'ID Apple or the password? e, when prompted, enter the email associated with the Apple ID in the appropriate field.
Pray click on your button Continue, choose you want to reset The password, enter the recovery key in the appropriate field and press the button again Continue, to go to the next step. We're almost there: now select one of the devices associated with the Apple ID to receive the verification code of 4 digits, enter it e, when requested, fill in the fields New password e Confirm password indicating the new passkey to use for the Apple ID. Finally, press the button Reset password And that's it!
Email / Security question
If you've never enabled two-factor authentication on your account, you can recover your Apple ID password by using the reset procedure via e-mail o Security Question.
I'll explain how to do it right away. First, connected to the Apple website, select the item Hai dimenticato l'ID Apple or the password? e, on the page that appears later, indicate the Apple ID you intend to take back.
Next, hit the button Continue, put the check mark next to the item The password and press the button again Continue, to go to the next step.

- Email - wait for the confirmation message regarding the sending of the reset email to appear, press the button end e, later, open the email message received from Apple and press the button Reset contented to the internal suo.

If everything went well, you should now see a page about resetting the passkey: type the New password in the text field provided, enter it in the field Confirm password, to check that it has been entered correctly e, when you are done, click on the button Reset password, to end the procedure.
Concluding operations
Now that you have regained access to your Apple ID, you can finally proceed with its permanent deletion. Before we even go any further, though, I recommend that you download one security copy of your data, so as to have it agolable where you need it in the future.
To be able to do this, connected to the dedicated page of the Apple portal, log in using the Apple ID previously recovered and press on the item Request a copy of your data. Once this is done, put the check mark next to the data you are interested in downloading (e.g. Apple ID account and device information, Apple Online and Apple Store activity, iCloud reading list and bookmarks, iCloud contacts, iCloud Drive files and documents , ICloud Photos, and so on) and when you're done, hit the button Continue.
Now, specify the maximum size of the files that will make up your archive, using the drop-down menu located at the top (a choice between 1 GB, 2 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB and 25 GB) e, when you are finished, click on the button Complete the request and that's it: once the creation of the archives has been completed (which could take several days), you will receive the download link via email.
You can check the status of your request at any time by connecting to this page of the Apple site and selecting the item See the details Corresponding to the wording Data request in progress.
As an additional security measure, I recommend that you check any active subscriptions on the Apple ID that you are about to delete e, if any, delete them. You can do this by going to this website and clicking on the button Manage your subscriptions.
Finally, remember to delete the Apple ID from all the devices you associated it with, in order to avoid blocking them and making them unusable after deleting the profile; to be able to do this, connected to this website, log in using your Apple ID and press the name of the first device associated with your account (eg. Mremover's iPhone) by selecting it from the section devices.
Pray for the pulsating prize Remove from account, located on the screen displayed below, and confirms the willingness to proceed by pressing the button Remove. Repeat the same steps on all other devices paired with the account.
After this step too, you can proceed with the request to delete your Apple ID: access this website, log in with the profile you want to delete and select the item Start Corresponding to the wording Delete account.
Then, carefully read all the consequences you will face by deleting the Apple ID (you will no longer be able to access purchases made on iBooks, App Store and other Apple services, items, files and documents stored on iCloud will be deleted and so on via), indicates the motivation, for which you want to delete the profile (eg "I want to stop using my account") and press the button Continue, to go to the next step.
At this point, read the content of the page that is proposed to you, press the button again Continue e, after placing the check mark next to the item I have read and accept these conditions, press the button once more Continue.
Next, specify a telephone number o email address on which to receive information about the status of the account deletion, press the button Continue and write down the security code you see appear on the screen. Finally, click on the button Continue, enter the code copied previously e, to confirm the desire to delete the Apple ID, aware that the operation is irreversible, press the buttons Continue ed Delete account.
Account deletion is not immediate and it can take up to 7 days; once the profile deletion procedure has been completed, the related data will be permanently deleted and you will no longer be able to use the credentials associated with the profile in any way.
