Since Microsoft announced the agolability of Windows 10, owners of a computer with Windows 7 operating system with Service Pack 1 and owners of a computer with Windows 8.1 operating system have begun to display a notification on the desktop indicating the possibility of carrying out for free upgrade to the new OS.

However, if despite the advice of your most trusted friends and the multiple positive criticisms you are not interested in Windows 10 and indeed you would like to underste how to get rid of that annoying notification that you see on the taskbar and that daily reminds you of the agolability of the most recent version of the operating system know that you have come to the right place, or rather on the right guide. In fact, in the following lines I will illustrate, in detail, everything that is possible to do for delete notification Windows 10 from the desktop of your trusted computer.

Before you can get alarmed and think about the worst, however, I want to specify that eliminating Windows 10 notification is not at all complicated and that you are more or less expert in computer science and new technologies does not matter. What matters is that you scrupulously adhere to the instructions I am about to provide you, you will see that by doing so you will succeed in your intent and will not do any damage!

Before explaining what to do in order to delete Windows 10 notification, however, I want to point out something else. At present it is possible to proceed in two different ways to succeed "in the enterprise". A first system is simply the hide notification icon, a second system provides instead the removing the update which causes the notification in question to appear. In a nutshell, if in the future you think that Windows 10 may interest you and then if you believe you want to upgrade to the new operating system in the coming weeks or months I suggest you adopt the first system while if the latest operating system from Microsoft it does not convince you at all and you are sure that you will never go and upgrade you can adopt the second system. The decision, of course, is up to you alone. Having defined this, no more chatter and let's proceed!

Hide the notification icon

If you have decided to delete the Windows 10 notification by simply hiding it, the steps you need to take are extremely fast.

To begin with, bring the mouse cursor to the taskbar and then click on the arrow pointing upwards that you find next to the clock and then on the item Customize ....

In the window that will open at this point, locate the item GWX then bring the mouse cursor to the menu located to the right of the latter, press it and select the item Hide icon and notifications. To confirm the changes made, press the button OK.

Done! By performing a few steps, you are therefore able to eliminate the Windows 10 notification and get rid of the annoying icon on the taskbar that constantly reminds you of the agolability of the new update.

Clearly in case of second thoughts you can always restore the notification display by bringing the mouse cursor back to the application bar, clicking with the left mouse button on the arrow pointing upwards, selecting the item Customize ..., then choosing the option Show icon and notification from the menu located next to the item GWX of the window displayed on the screen and then pressing on OK.

Remove the update that causes the notification to appear

If you prefer to delete the Windows 10 notification by uninstalling the update "guilty" of the appearance of the same, the procedure you need to perform is slightly more complex than the one I have already indicated but still within everyone's reach. To succeed in your intent you must proceed by going to install the update KB3035583.

To do this, press the button Home attached to the taskbar then type Windows update in the search field that is shown to you and click on the first reont in the list.

If you are unable to identify the update called into question and if you continue to be interested in understeing how to delete the Windows 10 notification, know that you can also take an alternative route to the one I have already proposed: resorting to the use of GWX Control Panel, a totally free program, which does not require installation to be used and which is compatible with both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 and thanks to which it is possible to remove the KB3035583 Windows Update in a practical and immediate way.

Then put a check mark on the box next to the item I accept the terms of this agreement and pulsing on pulsating Continue then click first on the button with written on Click to Disabile ‘Get Windows 10’ App (remove icon) and then Si then presses the button with written on it Click to Disabled Non-critical Windows 10 Settings and then once again on Si. To conclude, click on the button with the written on it Click to Prevent Windows 10 Upgrades and then press up Si.

If you deem it appropriate, you can also proceed by deleting the folder stored on your PC that contains all the files necessary to upgrade to Windows 10.
