When you set up a Samsung device for the first time, such as a smartphone or tablet from the Galaxy family, you are asked to create an account that allows you to access all the services offered by the Korean company. Among these are the Samsung Apps store, the Samsung anti-theft system that allows you to locate and control your device remotely and other more or less important services, such as those for data backup, monitoring of sports activities, etc.
Although not meatory, the creation of this account is essential if you want to take full advantage of all the capabilities of Samsung devices, it seems obvious to me. But what should you do when switching from a Samsung device to another bre? Should you keep your account or is it better to delete it? The answer is… it depends!
Keeping a Samsung account “alive”, even if unused, poses no particular privacy risks. In any case, if you are not willing to buy other smartphones or other tablets produced by the Korean giant, you can easily cancel it. Do you want to know how? Well then read on. Below you will find explained how to delete samsung account step by step.
How to permanently delete a Samsung account
The procedure for delete Samsung account it is very simple. All you have to do is connect to this web page and click on the item Sign In which is located at the top right.
Then type in the username and password combination required to access your Samsung account and click on the button Sign In to move forward. If you do not remember the password or ID to access the account, click on the item Forgot your ID or password? and choose if find the email (i.e. username) or reset the password. Then fill out the form that is proposed to you and within a few seconds you should be able to log into your Samsung account.
Once logged in, if you are asked to change the password of the account (because maybe you haven't logged in to it for a long time), accept by typing the new password in the appropriate text fields and click on the button Confirmation to save the changes. Then select the item Profile from the left sidebar, type the password of your Samsung account again in the appropriate text field and press the button Continue to access the control panel of your user profile.
Now comes the most important part! Click on the button Cancel registration located at the bottom left, type in your account password again and click on Continue. On the page that opens, put the check mark next to the item I confirm that I have read the conditions indicated and agree to delete my Samsung Account and user history related to Samsung services, click the button Confirmation twice in a row and that's it.
If the operation is successful, you will receive an email from Samsung confirming the cancellation of your account.The email will obviously be sent to the address you associated with your Samsung account.
Please note:: deleting Samsung accounts deletes all data and purchases associated with the latter. This is an irreversible operation, there is no going back, so think carefully before putting it into practice.
How to delete a Samsung account from Android
If you do not want to permanently delete a Samsung account but only disconnect it from your smartphone (or tablet), proceed as follows: go to Settings of Android by pressing the gear icon, select the item Account from the screen that opens and select theaccount Samsung from the list of accounts configured on your device.
Next, select theemail address associated with your Samsung account, press the button (...) collocato in alto a destra and seleziona la voce Remove account from the menu that opens. If asked, enter your account password and that's it.
