The first and most classic "remedy" that I suggest you take to eliminate viruses for free is to use a good one antivirus, of those to download, install and always keep active on your computer. There are many reliable and effective antivirus software and there are also numerous free solutions, as in the case of the excellent Bitdefender.
Haven't you ever heard of it? No problem, let's fix it right away. It is a very famous antivirus also agolable in a free version (the one I will talk about shortly!) Capable of combining an extremely effective scanning engine with performance that allows it to work without slowing down Windows. It also has an elegant, essential and intuitive user interface that allows you to do everything from a single window, always and in any case accessible from the notification area.
To start eliminating viruses for free with Bitdefender, connected to the web page relating to the free version of the program and click on the button Download it now. Once the download is complete, open the antivirus installation package (Antivirus_Free_Edition.exe), click the button Yes and wait a few moments for all the components necessary to install the software to be downloaded from the Internet.
Then, fill out the form displayed on the screen to create a free account and then click on the button Create Account. Then bring up the other software window that has opened and click on the button install. Then wait for the entire installation procedure to start and complete and then click on Not now.
Finally, right-click on the Bitdefender icon in the Windows notification area and select the button System Scan from the menu that appears to start a full system scan so that you can immediately identify the cyber threats e, if present, remove them.
However, keep in mind that by default Bitdefender will constantly keep your PC under control by means of an automatic and real-time scanning system and therefore in the future it will remove viruses without you having to lift a finger.
As I told you a few lines above, in addition to Bitdefender there are several other software at no cost thanks to which it is possible to eliminate viruses for free. Antimalware
Unfortunately, there are some particular types of malware that can escape the common antivirus above. In that case, it is advisable to resort to the use of a good antimalware. In this regard, you can contact Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which is free and allows you to remove trojans, worms, rootkits, dialers, spyware and other types of malware from your computer.
To remove viruses with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware then proceed by downloading the anti-malware to your PC. To do this, connect to the official website of the program and click on the button Free download. When the download is complete, start the software installation package (mbx-setup-consumer-xx.exe) and click on first Yes e then OK e NEXT.
Then put the check mark next to the wording I accept the terms of the license agreement to accept the conditions of use of the program and first click on NEXT five consecutive times and then on Install e end to conclude the setup.
At this point, start Malwarebytes, wait for the most updated definitions to be downloaded from the Internet and start a full system scan by selecting the item Scan from the left sidebar, choosing the option Search for harmful elements and pressing the button Start Scan.
At the end of the check, if Malwarebytes finds suspicious elements, make sure that they are all selected and click the button to delete them, or rather, to quarantine them so that they no longer disturb your work. Note that a system restart may also be required to complete the operation.

Self-starting antivirus
There may be situations in which by using antivirus and antimalware software it is not possible to remove the cyber threats present on the PC. In these cases, resort to the use of a self-starting antivirus it can be without a doubt the best solution. Among the best antivirus of this type I point out Kaspersky Rescue Disk which can be copied to a floppy disk or USB stick so that it can be booted before Windows to perform a full scan of the computer.
To download the ISO image of Kaspersky Rescue Disk connect to the program's website and then press the item first Downloads & Info located in the left sidebar and then on the button Distributive.
Then wait for the download of the ISO image to start and complete, then choose whether to copy the antivirus to a floppy disk, using the resources listed in my guide on how to burn ISO, or to copy it to a USB stick using the specific program provided directly from Kaspersky.
Afterwards, reboot the system and boot from the newly created media following the directions I gave you in my guide on how to set up the BIOS. When you see the message appear on the screen Press any key to enter the menu, press any key on your PC keyboard and Kaspersky will start automatically. Then select the use of the language English , press the button 1 on your computer keyboard and choose the option Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Graphic Mode from the menu that appears on the screen.
Then wait for the Kaspersky Rescue Disk desktop to appear and start updating the antivirus definitions by first clicking on the tab My update center e then on the button Start update (you must have an active internet connection to perform the update). Then, go to the tab Object scans, make sure there is a check mark next to the items Disk boot sectors, Hidden startup objects e C: e presses the button Start objects scan to start a full system scan and possibly to eliminate viruses for free.
Get rid of viruses on Mac for free
Now let's try to clear our ideas about the slope Mac. We immediately start from the assumption that, contrary to what many have argued and what has been told by the various "urban legends", Mac viruses exist but their spread cannot absolutely be compared to that of the Windows universe, also because the latter is installed on a much higher number of computers in the world and therefore it is more "palatable" in the eyes of any malicious people.
Therefore, trying to underste how to eliminate viruses for free on Mac is certainly useful but in a particular way it can be for all those who usually download applications from sources outside the Mac App Store and for those who, for one reason or another, find themselves often dealing with Windows users.
Having made this necessary premise, I personally advise you, in addition to using the Mac wisely, avoiding the installation of software from unreliable sources, to install an antimalware capable of performing an on-deme scan of the computer only when necessary. In this way, you will guarantee your Mac a reasonable level of protection and at the same time avoid the system burdening due to the real-time control of the same. To the latter I suggest you also associate an antivirus for scans of files intended for Windows PCs.
As for the antimalware discourse, a good solution you can refer to is definitely Malwarebytes Anti-Malware For Mac, the Mac version of one of the best software in the category agolable for Windows (I told you about it a few lines above).
To download the program on your Mac, connect to the relevant download page and click on the button Download located in the center of the page. When the download is complete, open the package in dmg format that contains Malwarebytes, take the application icon and drag it to the folder Applications of macOS. Then, start Malwarebytes Anti-malware, click on the buttons apri e Accept, type the password of your user account on macOS and press the key Submit on the Mac keyboard to start using the program.
Then click on the button Scan, wait for the system scan to be completed, make sure there is a check mark next to all the entries relating to any threats found by the program and first click on the button Remove selected items and then OK and Yes to restart the Mac and complete the malware removal.
As for the actual antivirus software, you can contact Bitdefender Virus Scanner, the Mac version of Bitdefender. It's free, scans only, so to speak, on deme, and is capable of recognizing both macOS and Windows malware.
To download it, connected to the appropriate section of the Mac App Store, click on the Get / Install button, type the password for your Apple account (if required) and wait for the download and installation procedure to be started and completed.
Subsequently recalls the Launchpad and start Bitdefender by clicking on its icon. At this point you can finally start using the antivirus: just update the definitions by clicking on the button Update now and start a full system scan by pressing on Deep System Scan. Then, if you want to scan only the critical areas of the system (those where malware is most commonly hidden) or you want to check a specific folder, use the buttons Scan Critical Locations and Scan a Custom location.

Remove virus for free on Android
Similarly to what happens for Windows, even smartphones and tablets Android, as a consequence of their enormous diffusion, they have managed to attract the attention of malicious people who increasingly target the famous mobile operating system of the "green robot" with malware specially designed for this purpose and capable of jeopardizing not only the correct use of the device but also and above all the user data stored in it.
Precisely for the reasons in question, wondering how to eliminate viruses for free even on Android is more than legitimate. The answer, even in this case, is: use a good free antivirus. There are plenty of free solutions for Android. Personally, I suggest you contact Avast Mobile, which is able to monitor the apps installed on the device in real time and block the suppressed ones.
How to use? Very easy! After downloading Avast Mobile from the Play Store, start the latter and first press the button Continue and then on the button Analyze this device to start a full scan of the device. At the end of the operation, step on the button to solve the problems detected on the device and that's it.
Note that in addition to suspicious apps, Avast will also report potential system security risks, such as support for unknown sources (which you must keep active if you want to install apps that don't come from the Play Store).
